Early Childhood Administrative Assistant
About the role:
The Administrator Assistant role at Turtletot Childcare (a 91 place centre in the heart of Bexley NSW) is a new role that is being introduced to support a dynamic leadership team that together are focused on high quality outcomes for children.
The role on offer is for part-time work, a perfect opportunity for a working parent as hours are flexible around school hours.
The key aspects of the role supporting the Nominated Supervisor include:
- Efficiently administer the operational procedures of Turtletot.
- Direct regular reporting to the Approved Provider and Nominated Supervisor
- Assist the Nominated Supervisor in reaching maximum occupancy
- Be actively involved in implementing and creating policies and procedures into embedded practice
- Liaise with stakeholders and suppliers when required
- Supporting the safety policies and procedures to ensure the centre is a safe environment for educators, children, parents and visitors
- To carry out effective regular centre audits
- To support management and meet financial performance objectives
- To support the Nominated Supervisor with recruitment, retention & performance management of staff, as well as any grievances
- To keep up to date with any relevant changes to current legislation, policy, procedures and changes in the industry including management of NQF, EYLF and QIP
- Work with the Nominated supervisor and the leadership team to ensure that the Centre is consistently meeting QIP and NQF standards
- Responsible for the management of ACECQA reporting
- Liaise with the Nominated Supervisor and Educational leader for ensuring the centre is well prepared for A&R at all times
Required Prerequisites:
- Ideally you should have experience in the operations of an Early Childhood Education Service (either as a stand alone role or as part of a Nominated Supervisor responsibility in a smaller organisation)
- You must be a strong team player and take pride in outcomes.
- Applicants must hold an Early Childhood Degree or Diploma in Children's Services
- Current Working with Children Check
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Bright, friendly and energetic
- Strong understanding of Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Knowledge of Qikkids and CCMS administration.
- Highly developed time management skills
- Professional presentation, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
- Desire to continually learn and add value to our service
- Ability to work autonomously, without direct supervision and the ability to make high level decisions.
